In its earliest conception the Mazui Foundation was created as a means to promote all ages punk rock shows. Years later Mazui Foundation decided to start printing t-shirts for its own amusement and identity. Noticing that others appreciated the designs Mazui Foundation started printing more to give away, leading eventually to the idea of selling them. As the heated political environment of the new millenium had effects on the lives it, too, inspired its designs to encompass more social weight.

The more impactful its designs became, the more it challenged the hypocrisy of the new business. While Mazui Foundation formerly knew very little about where the clothes on the backs really came from, it was time to find out. After a little research, Mazui Foundation realized that being sweatshop free needed to be at the core of the business model. Mazui Foundation is representative of the working class and its products must carry the statement of a fair wage.
